Do you know Hayley? If not, let me tell you, she is the nicest person EVER. She’s also kind, determined, disciplined, and ready to WORK hard for what she wants.
Hayley joined us for the 90-Day-Transformation program. Not only did she lose 7kg, but she also changed habits and created long term success. I’m super proud of her.
Read on to hear her thoughts on CrossFit.
1) What do you love about Crossfit, and how does it help you in your day to day life?
What I love about CrossFit is that every work out is so different. The hardest part is getting there. There are times when I overthink it, and just before I arrive, I wonder how I am going to get through it. But once I’m there, I get a friendly welcome, and any worries soon disappear. The coaches are so good at explaining & scaling the workouts, and ensuring they’re challenging, yet doable. And each time I leave, I am glad I made the effort to go.
CrossFit has helped me so much, as I have a lot more energy and it feels like a bit of an escape from everyday life. It’s a huge part of my weekly routine now.
2) What’s your favourite workout?
Dead Lifts and Wall Balls.
Short and sweet. Like it.
3) What 3 things would you say are CFW’s biggest plus points?
The variety of workouts, so you can build strength and endurance.
The incredible coaches, who have helped me immensely.
The friendly, positive atmosphere from down to earth people who are all just trying to do their best to get through the workout!
4) How has being a part of our community had a positive effect on you?
I am starting to feel like me again. Slowly, I feel more comfortable in my own skin, as I get stronger.
I love the banter and the positive energy at the box. The encouragement I’ve gotten from the coaches and other members is awesome. I appreciate every kind word and comment. It’s just really nice to work out with such a good bunch of people!
It’s not just good for fitness, but good for the soul too.
5) What’s your favourite treat meal?
Chicken Katsu Curry
6) What would you say to anyone new trying out CFW for the first time?
Go for it! You won’t regret it. And do not be intimated by the workouts or the acronyms! I sometimes look at the board, showing the workout of the day, and think I don’t know what half of this is & I don’t know if I can do it.
But once the coaches go through it, it makes a lot of sense. And I manage to get through it, with a bit of scaling, when needed. Afterward, I am pretty chuffed that I did it, and often surprise myself.
Thanks, Hayley and congratulations again!
