Hey everyone! Please join me in congratulating Rashida as Member of the Month. She’s on our 90 Day Transformation package, and in the past two months, has lost 9kg, 6cm off of her hips, and has a zest for life that she felt was lacking in recent times.

She’s stronger, fitter and more confident. Check out our conversation!

1) What do you love about Crossfit, and how does it help you in your day to day life?

I love that it is a full body workout each session. That you work on Cardio as well as strength. The timings of the classes are convenient for my busy life as a mum and still allows me to pursue other things. It has definitely given me more energy for my everyday life.

2) What’s your favourite workout?

The Bootcamps are my favourite (and anything that doesn’t involve 100 burpees)!!

3) What 3 things would you say are CFW’s biggest plus points?

The coaches/ people that attend.

The support that you get from other members to finish a workout!

Variety. You are never bored!

4) How has being a part of our community had a positive effect on you?

Motivation to succeed. At CrossFit Woodford, there are many different people. Lots of different ages and people from many walks of life. The atmosphere is so positive. The member’s fitness is aspirational without being intimidating, which means I never feel out of place.

5) What’s your favourite treat meal?

Carribean Sunday dinner, always!

6) What would you say to anyone new trying out CFW for the first time?

If you want results, do it! If you show up with a positive attitude, the workouts will always challenge you and the coaches provide you with everything you need.

Hang in there, stick at it, and don’t give up. The first couple of sessions are potentially a shock to the system, but your body will quickly adjust and the results will be evident.
